Took my older brother striper fishing last night. He has never caught a keeper striper and after last night still has never caught a keeper striper. He wound up catching one striper 22' long and a 4lb. walleye and believe it or not a harron. The harron was not harmed but it was funny seeing the bird and a sliver flying through the air. I about busted a gut laughing after the harron dropped the sliver 40yards later. My younger brother caught 4 striper- all short fish, and one Ky bass about 1 1/2 lbs. I had the best striper night trip I have ever had last night. I caught 5 short stripers, one striper 11lbs., and a 8lb. walleye and a 30.4 lb striper!!!!!! Took 25 minutes on 17lb line to get her in. I'll try to post pictures in a few days. It rained almost all night. Shad were up from 12 midnight till about 3am. I caught the big girl around 3:30am. Short stripers and the 11lb. striper were caught on gizz4 and redfin. Both walleye and the big girl were caught on black and silver sliver. We fished Thomas Branch then main lake walls all night. That 30lber is my personal best on Cumberland-so far. I only slept for 4 hours and I am already thinking about going tonight(Sat.). Going to have to check the weather closer because my girlfriend told me they are calling for storms tonight. Hope this info helps someone catch some fish---and not harrons!!! Vance Monnett
