Any of you boys had an eyeball on Stoner this weekend?
Curious about the water level and clarity...
Thanks!
Nope--but i sure wish we could get someone that lives on them banks at Stoner to get on Fishin .com boards-wow that would sure be great lol![]()
Maybe I can get you guys to pitch in on a house for me there. HA HA![]()
I would've posted earlier but for got my password.
The creek looks great the temp. is 68.9 not enough rain upstream to muddy it lleh it didn't even raise it.
I've caught nothing but short fish the last 2 trips out,1 at Frymans & 1 at Ikes
Stoner
hit frymans today, the water was muddy up to the fork . caught eight biggest being 13 inch had a few get off. 1/16th oz ball head with no#1 hook topped with a 3 inch grub was the ticket, and a 7inch black shad worm. the current was lite. none of the fish i cought had bloody tails, and didn't see any on the nest. Happy huntin
Thanks guys...
It rained like a cow peeing on a flat rock on several occassions here in Lexington today...believe some of those rains got into Clark County and Southern Bourbon County, so I'm guessing she'll rise/muddy up some more before it's done.
Getting out early in the morning with DJD, but I believe that we're lakin instead of creekin. I'll be creekin at Stoner on Wednesday afternoon...hopefully it'll be good on hump day.
Splitshot
PS. BiggW, I'll donate the first $10 towards your streamside cabin on Stoner. Wonder if those folks that live in South Fork Mansion up from Fryman's need a live-in pool boy or a gardner? Shoot, I'd mow some grass to live next to bass...
Here in Paris, we have not had the down pours that Lex. has had. Some stedy rain at times but not the gully washers that have going on around us. Good luck at the creek.
Stoner begins in Clark Co and flows to Paris .My wife was in Winchester on Saturday and said they had some bigtime rain over there , while here in Paris it only looked like rain all day . I havent looked at Stoner so I may be speaking out of turn here , but just because we havent had as much rain here , as Cobra mentioned , doesn't mean some increased flowage or off color couldnt or hasnt occured .
