I have always wanted to fish that lake. Sounds like the time is now! Did you catch any other fish besides the two nice ones? Thanks for the report.

Went to Woods Creek lake yesterday for the first time. Water temp at noon was 67.5. If you went left from the main boat ramp the water was clear. The closer to the dam we got the clearer it was. If you went right from the boat ramp the water became fairly stained. Early morning there was a decent bite on spinnerbait in the creeks, all short fish. Saw several beds in the creeks but these fish were tough to catch. Moved out towards the main part of the lake and started catching them on crankbaits. Bouncing crankbaits off of fallen timber was the ticket. Boated one 4lber, and one 6lber. That 6lber was about to bust full of eggs. Got her in the water fast. A big gully washer came through at about 3:00 so we left. I have one less sick day for the year at work but it was worth it.

There was only one other keeper. I guess you can't ask for much more when you get two big ones like that.
