Need a Striper Report........

I know this is not hte tennessee board but folks just don't seem to talk a whole lot over there. Just wondering if any of you guys have been over to cherokee lake to fish for stripes. Me and a few buddies are heading over tomorrow night and was wondering how the bite was. Thanks ahead of time for any info.

I've not been down there in a couple of weeks, so I can't say exactly how the bite is. I've not hit the topwater action on Cherokee yet this year. Approx 2 weeks ago the fish and shad were scattered, a small front was moving through. We caught 8 hybrids between midnight and four all on little mac's. The bite should be on, let me know how you do, i'm hoping to get down one night this week. Also, have you caught any stripers out of there lately, I don't fish it for stripes other than in the spring, but the last couple of years it seems to have been 95% hybrids. Good luck

It's been about 4 years since I have been down striper fishing. We just got to where we fished cumberland for them. I heard that the striper population was down and hybrids were caught more that anything. I hope thats not the case. Trying to get some reports before I go down tonight but nothing on Cherokee lake anymore. I'll give a full report when I get back.
