    Cumberland

I am heading down Friday for some fishing with a church group out of Conley Bottoms, does anyone have any reports. Going to do some bass fishing early and late in the day. And maybe some pan fish during the day. Are the fish in the creeks? Where are some good areas to try and bait suggestions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will give a full report on the return trip. Thanks so much.

Fall bush Creek is always good for some monster bluegill. We usually caught a few this time of year on crickets and minnows. Should be able to pick up a few crappie as well. The only problem is that with the water level down as much as it is I don't know how far you can get back there. Early morning you should be able to pick up a few bass on topwater plugs and then watermelon jigs or brushogs work really well during the evening hours. I will be down there as well Friday evening. Maybe we will run into one another. Good luck to you.

dc gave some good advice, there are some huge bluegill in the big C. Big bulls are usually a little deeper than the pack. Find heir beds then back off use slip bobbers and go deeper with crickets and you'll get some goodens. M

dc gave some good advice, there are some huge bluegill in the big C. Big bulls are usually a little deeper than the pack. Find heir beds then back off use slip bobbers and go deeper with crickets and you'll get some goodens. My wife caught 4 in a row a few years ago that were in the 12 inch range, and I'm not joking. Now those are some gills. May use to be one of my favorite times of year for the bass, but does not seem to be as good as it use to be for the month of May. Topwater, especially spooks on the points early will get you bit. Also a smoke grub on a leadhead on light line will catch them. Good luck and report back when you get home.
