Two boat crash at West Boggs?

Mike I heard there was a couple boats that crashed last weekend durning the take off of a bass tournament at West Boggs? One sunk and one guy broke his arm? Also heard some guy fell out of his boat at the start and couldn't swim ,had to be pulled to shore by on watchers? What the whole story on this? Thanks, Charlie

This story has some truth, but has been mixed up some as it gets passed around.
There was a boat wreck here this spring, but it was three weekends back, on April 21st. It also did not involve any participants in a tournament, although there were two that day; one legal and one not.
There was one person with injuries consisting of scrapes and bruises, and a broken arm and some broken ribs. He was thrown from his boat and was not wearing a PFD. I’m not sure if he could swim or not, but he could not in his injured condition. Passersby pulled him from the water and brought him to shore, probably saving his life.
