I got out to the usual spot Sat morning for about 45 minutes. Lots of noticable topwater activity. Fish chasing baitfish everywhere.
I used the Wonderbread and Green Bomb topwaters(APB's).
I ended up with 8 fish. Biggest 3 were a 14in smallie and 14,16in LM. The smallies liked the wonderbread and the LM loved the Green Bomb.
Later in the afternoon Mando and I sneaked over the hill fior about 10min just casting from the bank. We were throwing some jigs. No takers, of course. We did see plenty of fish.
Sunday morning I went to a different spot. Caught one 10"smallie on the Green Bomb. It was considerably colder yesterday morning.
Water in the creek is getting low. The Algae Bloom looks to be coming on. We need some rain. We have already seen some signs of irrigation getting ready.
Canoers and Yakers don't look for much water if we don't get any substancial rain. Once the Ky River gets low, the Elkhorn drains fast.
ONE NOTE::::
One thing you must remember about fishing in creeks, it can change from one stretch to another. What works in one place may not get a sniff in another place. Elevation crop, agriculture run-off..ect..ect is a big determiner.

Hit around a dozen each, mostly topwater stuff. Several decent ones (12-15 inches). Prop bait was working well in riffle areas. Today was a different story, only managed 4 between the two of us.
