Good luck dude it's been DEAD lately and I mean DEAD. You'll hear maybe one positive report for every five bad ones right now. Maybe it'll change, best of luck I think you are going to need it.

Re: Going to the Big-C this sat.

I went Mon night with a buddy trying to catch his first striper and caught 7 striper, 1 walleye and 4 cats. All striper and the 1 one walleye(22")were caught on redfins. Only one striper was a keeper and just barely. Bite was best from 1-3. It was weird how the bite/surface activity was on for 15 min then off for 30 min then on for 15 more min then off for an hour and so on....Plenty of shad on the banks until boat waves would put them down for a while. Where are the big ones?? I caught shad under lights just before dawn and pulled baloons at first light. It was deadsville. Zero surface activity after the sun came up. Caught all the cats trolling baloon/shad setup off the same point about 830. They were all about 5 lb. I'll be back next Mon night hopefully the biguns will show up. My buddy didn't catch anything but catfish but he is hooked on the striper thing now. We fished mid lake area.

For action try Guffey Creek for size Thomas Branch, everything we have caught around Thomas has been of size. Expect a late bite, 12-3. The only reason I am telling you this is because I live here and will not be fishing on weekends with the pack, only weeknights, have fun.
