What a great day of trout fishing! The generation schedule was perfect. The river was REALLY low betwn 6-10., but it started coming up when one generator opened up betwn 9-5 (still very wadeable in sections). We had fish on most of the time (mainly 12-14in.) with a brown scoring over 16in and 2 bows 16 1/2in. and one at 20in. We waded 4 1/2 of the 6 hours we were there. They must have recently released some fish because we hit several pockets of 8-10 inchers. With the weather forecast showing no signs of rain for a few days now is the time to get down there!
We used super dupers, cast masters, and phobe's (all silver). Saw 2 fly fisherman and they said they were catching several as well...sorry don't know what they were using.
Most of our fish caught between helms and snow island. If you put in at helms you better be ready to drive the truck into the water because when they shut the generators down the water is 10-20 feet from the bottom of the ramp.
Go get 'em
