I am planning a trip to Dale in June. Is this when the fish are on the flats? Do you think I should plan on night fishing?
If you had to choose would it be early June or late June?

I usaully go around the first full moon in june. First full moon in june I think sparks the crawdad spawn. I guess that explains why we always do good on pea gravel points at that time. I am heading down this coming sat and sunday night to get some smally action in. I will post a report once I get back.
June + Dale Hollow + Full Moon = Night Fishing for Smallies on points and secondary points or ledge fish for some good Greenfish
TC, that would be the 30th of the month in case you haven't looked it up yet.

I think I am available that weekend
Maybe I'm reading the chart wrong but it looks like the 1st full moon in June is June 1 at 104am.
I'll be down there the full moon at the end of June to night fish. First gonna try it with a guide,Ralph Sandfer. I've never fished dale so hopefully he can show us some techniques. If you go then let me know, maybe we could exchange reports while were there. I think were going to stay at Cedar Hill. Man I can't wait to catch a big brown fish at night down there. Good luck to you.
Go the first of June . The smallies are still shallow then. Red jig and pig. Any where on the main lake . And trust me HANG ON . With the moon shining most of the fish will be really shallow. The full moon at the last of June the fish will be harder to find they will be out on the breaks.
