A fishing buddy and myself fished Patoka on the May 23-24. We didn't catch many but what we did catch were pretty big, at least by my standards. On Wed. my friend caught a 4.5 lb in the [am] I lost one at least that big. In the evening he caught a 5lb, 6.5 and I caught one that went 7lb 5oz, My friend broke one off that seemed quiet large. Thur. morning we anticipated a great day, fished until 9:45 and didn't get the first bite. Is that why they call it fishin? We were fishing the points of islands with c-rigs/lizards and z-spooks. The biggest was off the spook.
