Good luck on that structure thing. Most of it is gone. I would just move around the main lake and hit all of the points and if you find grass, beat it to death. DEAD SEA

I will be fishing Monroe for only the second time the weekend after next. The other time was as a passenger at a small club night tournament. I am looking for a little help from anyone willing to give it. I am not looking for your primo spots or trying to steal info from you tourny guys. Actually, I would like to learn the lake on my own by fishing it thoroughly so I am pretty much just asking for a location such as a creek or something that is not so hammered that I won't be able to find a place to fish to get me started. We are driving fairly far to get there and I want my time on the water to be valuable to me in later trips. I appreciate in advance any help anyone can give. The lake looks seriously good on a map with all those different types of cover. My email is [email protected] if anyone can help. Thanks-

Stick with the shallow grass on the west side of the lake or the "fast side",there are plenty of nice fish to be caught in the shallow stuff of course this time of year early and late in the day are your best times.Good luck, the fish are there.

8.25 lbs! Whooaa, you lucky that thing didn't pull your scrawny butt in the lake! : ) Jeff and I are planning on making quite a few stops and trying some new techniques that we normally don't get to fish much. Maybe we'll get to fight a big ole monster too. Congrats and see ya there!
Thanks to everybody who offered help. The guys on this board are a good group. Appreciate it very much!
