My best luck is always with Green pumpkin or watermelon/red soft plastic. This time of the year fish somewhere that has deep water close by.

Just had a tourney there yesterday. Losts of fish caught on jig-n-pig's, finese worms and some on crankbaits. Best advice is go up river and find some really stained water for the best results. The early morning buzzbaits worked, but caught a lot of short fish and some keepers. Throw a small worm up under any dock you might find, the spots are really holding under them as well...A lot of boat traffic on the main lake, so find a big creek and stay in it or fight the big time waves from the pleasure boaters as you make your way from place to place.

P.s. A lot of 3 and 4 lb bass roaming the banks in about 1 foot to 2 feet of water, but they aren't hitting anything..... Waste of time trying to catch them..... I tried and as soon as a bait gets cloce to them they run for deep water....
