Guist Slow this morning

Boy Guist was slow go for fish catching this morning. Guess it is the post spawn blahs. Not much moving around. Not even many fishermen out. May is traditionally one of the slowest months fishing for me. I guess I should stick to farm ponds and streams during May. Water temp was about 75 deg. Beautiful morning to be out. The fish just weren't very aggressive. I did manage to catch a small channel cat on a spinner casting. Oh well, maybe things will pick up in June. They usually do. I used artificials. I guess I should have had some live bait. Back to the drawing board!!

Thanks for the report. Seems to me Guist is one of the more on-again, off-again lakes around. Chicken one day, feathers the next.
