I agree Jim.

I know that anglers watch the water level and work their fishing accordingly, but as long as a ramp is useable, why should the pleasure boater or jet-skier care about the water level? There's plenty of water in the lake for what they are going to be doing.

The media screwed the pooch here...and unfortunately the pooch was the businesses around the lake. People who don't know think the lake has dried up to nothing...while it may look substantially different, it hasn't dried up to nothing. It's still useable.

Imagine the fuel and snacks not bought at local gas stations and marinas, the hotel rooms not rented, the food not sold to tourists by grocery stores, the meals not served by restauraunts, the boats not rented...pretty staggering for a community that is used to that activity every year.

For anyone who was on nearby lakes, were there more boats than usual on Green, Laurel, Dale Hollow, Barren, etc?
