A week or two I posted here asking for some good generic information on fly rods, reels, etc...I went to Bass Pro and ended up getting the BPS White River series fly rod, it came as a combo unit. The rod is a 9', 6 wt., nothin' fancy but good enough for me for the time being to play with on the farm pond..At any rate, if any one here has any information they could share with me as far as literature is concerned I would appreciate it...right now I am not interested in fly tying, but I'm just wanting to know the basics of fly fshing in general...such as different knots to tie a leader line with, or how tie a fly on the line, casting methods, retrieval techniques, etc. I'm more interested in books than I am in DVD's...

None of my Bass gear is for sale, lol...I guess to be honest what I'm doing is taking into account the price of gas and all, I can see myself being "grounded" to the farm pond more often than not, at least for the near future anyway. Plus it's summer time and I prefer fall, winter and spring time fishing over summer time fishing. I have never been skunked on the pond and I guess I'm just taking a different avenue, creating some new challenges and/or goals myself...just to change things up a bit.

Thanks in advance!
