I believe tournament fishing brings out the a-hole personality in too many people. Maybe they don't do well or feel they have to be a pro which is too much pressure on them and they take it way too serious and respect goes out the window.

I just can't see how people with this kind of attitude and mindset can even enjoy fishing. Even if they catch their limit they would probably still chew your head off if you were on the next spot they wanted to fish. It is just not worth it -- guys that serious need to seriously consider another past time.

But commenting on the gist of this thread it all comes back to respect. If I was on a spot and any angler comes up to me in a friendly manner and talks to me I never act possessive over water. But for a rude jerk and I won't give an inch. Those are the only moments I lose my respect for my fellow anglers.

Obvious tourney fisherman...yep, but a big shiny boat,a big engine,a tourney shirt, stickers on the boat and screaming down the lake still doesnt make you a tourney fisherman at the moment,I see people like this during the week when no tourneys are on the lake....just because you buy a white lab coat and walk thru the hospital doesnt make you a doctor
