It could be your power packs on it. I had the same problem with an older mercury. It took forever to get on plane but ran great once you got there. It ended up being the power packs had to be replaced. Not cheap, but fixed the problem.
Is the power packs something I can replace myself or is it best take it some where? If that is the problem how much is not cheap?
