Ten Commandmaents of Fishing.

Seems that there has been a lot of tension building up in everyone over the last few weeks of fishing. I guess you all are like me, lack of fishing, hot weather, lack of fishing, fussing wife because the mowing is not done, did I mention the lack of fishing. Anyhow since I can't fish, and the mowing is finally done I was just thinking what if there were a Ten Commandments of Fishing what would they be? You guys seem to have pretty good minds on you, so what do you have or what would they be.

----Honor the 50 yard rule or I will strike you down with the force of a c-rig
----Though shall not keep game fish which you do not eat
----Though shall not TAKE MORE THAN 5 MINUTES AT THE RAMP
----Though shall not own a jet ski
----Though shall not skip out on half of the gas
----Though shall not bear false witness unless telling fish stories
----Remember the sabbath is for fishing, some go to church looking for god, I go to the lake and find him each day
----Last but not least, Though shall not attempt an orangutan-hang while fishing with someone whom you have not fished with before.

I don't care how many times I've fished with someone if they do an arangutan-hang off my boat I'm kicking them in the junk right in the middle of it when they are defenseless. lol

i think if there was only 1 commandmaent we all would get along much better and safer,treat others as you would want them too treat you ,bass fisherman along with pleasureboaters,i fish just like the rest but i ride jetskis and go out on pontoons and runabouts and there are bad boaters in all types of boats

1. If your a Co-Angler, thou shall not cast to the front of the boat past the imaginary half way point dividing the boat.

2. Thou shall not throw in on top of a spot where the Front Angler just missed a fish.

3. If a Co-Angler, thou shall not Use a Portable GPS and mark Boaters Hot Spots.

4. If at all "Possible" if you got to do # 1, use the Bottle provided by the Boater and don't do # 1 over the side of the boat, where said # 1 will wind up landing on side of boat. Where as in the heat of the day said # 1 will start to really smell.

5. Seats are not stepping stones to step on with big shoes, they are for sitting down in.

6. Co-Angler shall have all tackle needed for such fishing trip, but Boat Owner can loan a lure to Co-Angler if really needed to help. But will always loan baits and lures if in a Buddy Tournament.

7. Everyman should own his / her own rods, reels, and tackle, don't ask to use the nephews rods and reels, since some Bro-In-Laws don't even own anything.

8. Always offer to help out on the cost of the gas for the days fishing adventure.

9. Make sure that when you park and retrieve the Boat Owner's truck and trailer, you treat the items as if they belonged to you at all times.

10. At some time during the day offer to run the trolling motor, don't be afraid to run it if the Boater asks you too, while he / she reties a lure.

11. And last but not least, please give at least 5 minutes of quiet time at least every hour of the tournament day.

Boy this is cute but I'm to tired to come up with ten right now. How about the #1 the yahoos in western Ky lived by. Thou shall not covet thy neighbors tied up fish. LoL The fishing gods do strick back. Ha Ha.. Do it right and just fish for crying out loud... Be safe and NICE....

3. Thou shalt not run up and cut your brother off on a bank he's fishing
4. Thou shalt not take up more than 1 lane or 5 minutes on the ramp
5. Thou shalt always take a spare battery in case one perishes for some unknown reason
6. Thou shalt release all game fish unless you intend to eat them.
7. Thou shalt not keep short bass
8. Thou shalt show proper respect for ALL fishermen, tournament or non
9. Thou shalt take the wife fishing several times a year
10. Thou shalt not wash out other boaters with an unnecessarily big wake

though shall not leave head lights on while loading after dark
though shall not stop and start fishing within 3 casts of another boat
though shall not yank on gut hooked fish "cut it off"
though shall not throw old line in the lake
though shall not load the boat in the launch lane
though shall not slow down to a idle when you pass a fisherman as that makes a bigger wake
though shall leave lights on after dark(even if you are the only one out there)
though shall take a kid fishin
