Today on Barren River

I took some video of some great bags of fish from the Fishing Tournament.. but will not be processing it as the transfer cable I need is not part of the package.. LOL.. so if you were looking for the video of those BIG BASS it will be up in a few days.
If you do not know there was a tournament at Barren Today.
The big bag was over 18 pounds and big fish was 5.93 pounds. Almost everyone had at least 1 fish and the average seemed to be 3 to 4. Almost every bag had one or 2 fish over 2 pounds.
Fish are apparently holding near the Thermocline and hitting DEEP crankbaits and jigs. (From what the anglers would tell me.. LOL)

Thanks for posting the tournament report. From what information I have gathered Drew sure did put it on them. Some day you will see his name in bright lites. He has the ability and I know it is his dream to be a pro fisherman.

He did lay a hurting on them. I fished with Drew today as the co-angler. He is one heck of a fisherman, and it was an honor to fish with him and net his 'acrobatic' fish. Even if he did try to take a swim by stepping into a rod locker . He will be a star one day, and I looked forward to seeing him around!!!!

The report I got was that Drew's non boater got 2nd place on the non boater side so congradulations. What kind of weight did you have.

With 30 pounds of bass in the livewell I bet the areators were working overtime.

Yes, we had a scare at one point with my livewell becoming bone dry. With lots of ice and 'the green water' we had fish literally jumping out of the livewells. 'Twas an awesome day of fishing.

All this talking about Tournament fishing at Barren has got me fired up and ready to go. I have only fished in one tournament so far this year due to many various reasons. I have not been to Barren since last fall but come daylight in the morning I will be there. I have been waiting for the water to get at summer pool but during the middle of a drought that is not going to happen. According to the doppler radar the entire lake just got some rain fall this afternoon. Hopefully the morning shallow water bite will be on then I am headed deep.
