Junkie, My advice is to find another lakeI know there are alot of people who can catch bass on Herrington, but there are so many shad, its tough when they are eating shad in 80 ft of water in the middle of the lake. From what I have heard, its not taking much weight to win the tourneys at Herrington lately.
I have had the best luck going in the early morning and fishing Rat L Traps around shad schools and points; or even in the middle of the day, fishing with red/blue flake worms texas rigged off the bluff walls. I saw a guy down there last week who threw a buzzbait all day long and had a nice stringer of bass. Said he fished from 8am to 4pm and only threw a buzz. Who knows.
