I use all of the scents. Garlic mostly, but when fish are really feeding on craws or shad i will switch over. I think the biggest deal is just to cover any unatural scent you may put on the bait or in the water such as gas or oil that may get on your hands and transfered over. It just helps the fish hang on a little longer in my opinion.
