its a joke, its horrible line, I wouldn't even make a popcorn necklace out of that crap. Now on the other hand, their new flourocarbon that is about to hit the market is the best I have ever used. I just hope it doesn't get lost in the translation of the "wal-mart" marketplace. I have used a couple test spools of the stuff and it is the real deal. But the vanish, lets just put it this way, I wouldn't go tying any hostages up with it.

I have talked to some guys who use a lot of fluorocarbon and the knot breakage is solved by tying a special knot. If any of you are BASS members, it is basically the knot listed in an old issue as the "OT Fears" knot. apparently aaron martens and some other finesse pros found this knot to work best. since using this on my fluorocarbon, much less breakage.

Hate both Vanish and Vanish Transition. Just like the rest, broke way too easy for me. I LOVE Bass Pro XPS Flourocarbon and will use nothing but.

    Re: berkley Vanish

Hate the Vanish lines. But Berkley has a new one out that is %100 fluoro. It is good stuff but I am hooked on PLine Halo. It is expensive but the abrasion resistance on this stuff is great and it really held up well to 2 days of fishing. The first day I got hung up in rocks and a few stumps here and there fishing a jig and did not retie all day and the line had no nicks and was as good as when I started in the morning. Just my .02 cents.....
