did i really get a ticket??????

was at nolin tonight had a notice on windshield when got back with the bottom part ripped off of it. what ticks me off is that i paid my 3 dollars put the little slip on my dash i just didnt put the date on it cause i couldnt find an ink pen even took extra time to ask 2 people if they had one. if this is a ticket why is the bottom part ripped off of it. not only did i get a ticket but i didnt catch but a couple of dinks also.

Check at one of the Corps Offices or Campgrounds to see about it, they may be able to help you out. Show that you paid the $ 3.00 and ask them to verify that you did when they open up the box and find the other half of your money envelope in the box.

Good Luck, if it is a ticket, I'd just go ahead and buy a annual pass, it will be cheaper in the long, versus paying the cost of the ticket and court costs as well......

good luck i got one at barren,paid my money the night before at 9pm at about 8am went to get the truck and i had a ticket. went through all the caling the corp office and supposedly had it fixed,well i got a notice in the mail i needed to pay or it was gonna be very expensive so good luck.figure this they told me that i needed to pay 2 days for night tournaments in order to keeep this from happening because midnight is the end of the day.Just get a yearly pass.

I too got the same notice at Nolin Fri. nite while fishing the Days tourny. Why was the envelope not checked to see if it was really paid? According to the notice, the way they fiquire you paid was if the date was on the flap in the windshield. Well h-ll, anybody could do that! I suppose it is indeed a ticket since it says the fine will be $60.00. I will buy the annual pass, $30.00,but I still think it is BS, cause I paid my money.Besides, I for one have seen no improvements at that ramp in a long time. Maybe it takes that much to just maintain.Oh well, I guess we wont be in such a hurry next time.

i talked to fellow who fills out the flap and puts it on the dash and never pays a dime i guess they don't check flaps to envelopes.
heck last winter at wax there was 9 envelopes left in the box with money when they emptied it out so i guess they don't need it too bad.

Is it possible that someone else got the ticket and they put it on your windshield to keep from paying it?

no it had my license plate number on it. im still mad over the whole deal.if they are gona be that way they should leave a pen attached to a chain or something at the box just my 2 cents

I know a corps ranger and he said that the bottom part of the ticket that was torn off has the information on the vehicle, ramp, time etc. He also advised making sure that you didn't just get a warning for not filling out the date instead of an actual ramp violation. Also trust me from what he says if they catch you not putting money in the envelope as posted earlier, you could be in for some serious trouble.

thank you all for info. i called corps. they said that they was gonna go thru the envelopes and if my money was in there it was no big deal. he said that he wrote several of the same tickets that night. i went ahead and bought the pass anyways just so i wouldnt have the hastle later on again. my nerves cant take notcatching any fish and getting tickets.... thank you all

not telling you what to do but that's exactly what they told me they'd do,and supposedly did but i still had to pay it and i didn't know it until they already had the court date set and sent me court papers to apear and that gets expensive,i would go ahead and pay the fine to be safe after that,i too got the pass saves alot of trouble.i didn't have to go but had to pay court costs and the fine.

It is really funny that the magazine for ky afield has an article about not having alcohol on the water on the lake as it is a public place and then allowing houseboats floating on that public water to have fully stocked bars for the past 30 years. And yes you got a ticket for what? The corps does not allow houses on their lakes so every houseboat on the lake is in public water, so I would assume there should be no alcohol on the boats floating on public waters. I and you know that that will not change but it is a little more ammo to get more mad for parking tickets
