Fella's, I fished Rough this past Sat night into Sun. for 13 hours. My partner and I caught a total of 12 fish in that time period, with only one topping the 15" mark. Man did the night drag by and the old Sleep bug about got me a couple of times, if it weren't for the bluegills hitting my bait, I know I'd have fallen asleep standing up... Real Slow and humid as heck out on the water. Strange thing was that once the sun came up the wind picked up to about 20 to 25 mph and started getting difficult to fish, so we called it a day and came home.
Talk about luck, they decided to shoot off the 4th of July fireworks at around 10ish. As we were fishing an area, about 60 boats and I do mean 60 boats came driving by on their way home to their docks and the Marina's. I talked to a fellow who was goin real slow and he told me what was going on, said that on one part of the lake there were at least 300 boats watching the show. This Fireworks Show is supposed to be done again this weekend coming up on the 6th., 7th., and possibly the 8th. so the boat traffic will be hot and heavy about 10:30 to 11:30 pm. Be Safe if your on the water at this time of the night.....

Was there Sat. as well it was a madhouse! What got me the most was the really narrow bend in Tules Creek had almost 40 boats anchored there with everyone and their mother swimming and partying. Had a terrible time making it through there. Should be posted as a no Louitering area.
Fishing was really slow. Fished for almost 8-hours and only managerd 9 fish between my brother and I. all of them short. A drastic decline from a couple of weeks age when we managed to boat some realy nice fish.
Plan on going down again in a couple of weeks after all of the nut jobs are at home nursing their hangovers.
Keep on chuckin'
i hear that are the hybrid still in the jumps with all the boat traffic not a one jumped for us we went to a couple different places just to get ran over.
