    Re: summer time smallmouth

A little over 7lbs won the tournament. I think there were only 40 boats that entered. I thought there would be a lot more. I didn't fish that one, but from a lot of the guys that did not many fish were caught. Most tournaments on the lake people are bringing huge smallmouth. Last week one tournament I fished it took over 14lbs to win and the guy had almost a 6lb smallmouth. I caught quite a few earlier in the year when walleye fishing and found a secret then on how to catch them, but with the water temps up that is long gone.

Thumbs up Re: summer time smallmouth

dc basser travis singleton won with 7.49 lbs & 5th place was 6.49lbs real close tour. there were 44 boats with 4,400$ inthe payout . i would call that a real successful tour. 24 7 this is a good weight for a two fish tour.

Two fish over 7lbs is a great weight for this type of tourney. I just thought there would be more boats with all of the advertising and talk about the tournament. This type of tournament is more interesting and evens the playing field alot more. I am probably fishing the one at the end of this month. I wanted to the last one, but had prior arrangements

that's a good weight for two fish dh. Hopefully I can get a day off and fish the next one. A lot of talk about the tourny. That is always a good thing. Good luck keeping it going and we willhopefully see you at the next one.

    Re: summer time smallmouth

it is a good tour. concept that gives everybody a chance to win right down to last cast of the tour.& the no dead fish weighted in rule means you will have to take care of your fish, both of these tour. rules will have less impact on the fishery & insure better survival of the fish. we should have more boats at the next tour. as this last weekend was the 4th of july weekend. hope to see both of you there. john
