Sorry it took so long for the report guys... I got back Sat. but I havent had time to post a report. Here it goes. Took vacation last monday and stayed at dale hollow untill Thursday. Fishing was a little tough for use because we couldnt find the fish in our normal spots we fish year after year. Caught smaller fish 13"-17" and had the occasional kicker fish being 20" or 21". Caught them using a jig and pig , spinnerbait , and soft plastic craws texas rigged around 15- 30 ft of water. Caught most of our fish around sulfer creek, willow, trooper island, and hendricks. We ended up catching around 10 or 11 fish through 3 nights of fishing. We come home thursday mourning and it gave me time to reflect on what we done wrong.... So I was so aggravated and confused I loaded up and headed back out friday .... Cold front had come through thursday night but still wanted to go. This is where it gets good. Got out on the water in the evening and threw topwater. Boat traffic was so bad it didnt give me the best conditions with my favorite topwater spots so didnt do any good. Then nightime fishing started. Went to my first night spot and right off the bat in 30 ft of water caught a 3.6 largemouth, and then off the same point several casts later caught a 4.8 smallie. Moved to my next spot and bam a 2 pounder..... then fished a little more and caught a few smaller fish. Then I figured out the pattern. Whenever I found grass... even just a little bit on a secondary gravel or rock bank or a flat I caught fish. finding that out I Started going to some of my other spots and caught some really nice fish. Caught a 5.6 , a 5.2, a 4.3 , 4.0, and several 3's. In total Caught 11 fish that night with some hogs mixed in. So to wrap this report up Fish orange and brown jigs on secondary points and flats with grass, and also texas rig a craw also. Keep your boat around 30 to 35 ft of water and you should be fine. most fish I caught off of one point was 3. The others produced around one or maybe 2. Move around alot and you will find a few fish moved up. Great fishing right now, and Im heading back down Sat night. If anyone has any questions just ask and I will try to help you out.
