the light isn't as big a deal if you are not in clear water but i always do set my light in the boat so that the light shines up and not on the water.if i am by myself i set it on the back deck behind the seat so i don't get any glare and the side of the boat blocks it from the water.i never use the suckers to hold it.

I wouldnt trust the suction cups. More than once Ive had a light fall in and then its toast.

I had the same Nitro 700 LX style boat, prior to my Triton... I never had any problem with the black lights being attached by the suction cups to the side of the boat. The shafts are quite long on my suction cups, so I was able to slightly bend the shafts and make them line up just right.

But I haven't used them at all on my Triton, I use a Type that attaches to the Bill of my Hat...But I don't use it all the time, just for re-ting a lure on...Just seems like my night senses kick in and I don't need the lights at all to fish. Even on the blackest night when fishing.....
