Check local regs VERY carefully & absolutely pack live bait, if allowed!! If not allowed, be prepared to fish for something else through the day.

Haven't fished Canada in many years, but we packed a bunch of nightcrawlers, as a last minute impulse, & were so glad that we did. Had no problem catching on artificials during lowlight & @ night, but there were significant periods of time during the day when a piece of real meat was all that would get the walleyes going.
