    Smile Pleasant surprise!

I usually dont use cumberland on week ends, till the big boats went to the hollow, but friday morning at Grider hill, the folks went out of their way to help everyone in loading and launching boats. It used to be that way 15 years ago when I first used that facility, glad courtesy has returned. That ride up to my truck sure felt good compared to that long hot walk I was anticipating. Wish the fish would have cooperated more. Seems like the nuts have all gone to the hollow, as long as tghey stay off the river, God bless em!!!

How about a party on Lake Cumberland at 76 Falls to pick up trash??
Bring bags etc. Have a Fishin.com thing.. and do some good for the lake??
Maybe in Mid August.. or Late in September to take advantage of cooler weathr..?? Guys bring boats and take those without to pick up trash at the falls.. We could adopt the falls as a project for Fishin.com to clean it up.. and maybe post signs to that effect asking folks to BE GREEN and recycle cans.

Jim there is a lake cleanup every Sept., held on the lake. Anyone at one of the major marinas would give you all the fine details. You could incorporate that into a fishin.com effort, just a thought. If I don't have to work the day in question I would be willing to help. I can think of spots on the lake I'd rather clean up though other than the Falls, LOL.

I ran into a group Saturday collecting trash, they were using a state dock pontoon. They were hauling trash to a trailer parked on the ramp at Pumpkin Creek.

The new owners and management of the State dock are awesome. They are doing alot to help and promote the lake. They also are really leading the way in clean up efforts with the newly exposed shoreline.
