    Dead Fish

I fished the tourney on Nolin Saturday morning that was put on by KC Lures. First off it is a great little tourney and I really enjoyed the people that where there. If you haven't fished it yet you should.

Now the reason I am writing this post is because I was fishing down the bank near wax boat ramp when I found 6 bass on a stringer. The fish where very large the shortest being 17 inches the longest 21inches. The fish where put there sometime during the week 2 of them where still alive. I cut them loose immediately hoping that those that could would swim off. They were not just on the stringer they where put on there with zip ties. I suspect the reason for was so they could be used during a tourney.

I am sure that whoever did this will never admit it, but I know that if I catch you it will not be good. In addition, I am sure there are many other sportsman on here that feel the same. If you can't win without cheating then don't fish.

Maybe the fish were put on the stringer so someone could eat them if so that is fine. But to just let them die is B.S. And I don't believe these fish had a skillet in there future.

How did you find them? With a crankbait? Were they on a stump? Just curious.

One of the fish were floating belly up. The end of the line was tied off to the bank. The line was about 7 foot long and had about 1/4 pound of wieght on the other end. We saw the floating fish and trolled over to check it out.

you should have called the game warden and let them handle it. otherwise, the jerks that did it will probably do it again.

    Re: Dead Fish

I will talk to a CO I am close friends with one but there was nothing he could do at that point. Had I seen someone doing it that is what I would have done. My concern at the time was trying to get the 2 fish that still had some life left in them back in the water.
