Cumberland Point Rec Area Info Please

Looking to head to East Cumberland for the first time for 3 nights of Smallie action (Hopefully). Initial plan is to put in at Cumberland Point Rec Area and was looking for some reasonable lodging around this area if any is available. Can anyone give a fella some helping information? Thanks

Wish I could be some help ol friend but we never stay down there. We just drive the distance back and forth. What exactly are you looking for. Cabins or motels. I keep making some calls.

There is no lodgeing around cumberland point unless u are going to camp down there.... Now if u wanted to put in at conley bottom which is right across the lake from c-point there is pleanty of lodgeing around Monticello...

Sorry Elwood I'm not as familiar with that end of the lake as I am mid ways down. Why east end for ya, are you hearing the bite better up that way????

elnut you be much better off staying at the motels around monticello and launching at conley bottoms. You can see cumberland point from the marina and i am sure it will be much easier to launch there. You will also have ways to get to places to eat and you have to pass the Bass Pro in burnside and the owner can maybe give you a little heads up on the fishing.
