This spring I start using tungston wts on my C-Rig with glass beads. After catching a couple of small KYs one morning, I noticed the glass bead was broken so I relplaced the bead without a problem for the rest of the day. A week passed before I got to fish again. This time I hung a good fish and lost the fish because my line broke. The break was in the area where the tungston wt and bead made contact which makes me suspecious that tongston wts may crack a glass bead and cut the line. Tungston wts do improve your feel, but I am thinking that plastic beads may be better with tongston. I also feel rubber or plastic pegs may be better than wooden pegs because wood may damage the line. Any thoughts?
