In regards to flipping docks, it that worth trying along the main river? There are so many, that I don't know where to begin or which ones would be more productive...so far I haven't had much luck with it. Any ideas or suggestions?

What are some safe places to fish on the river (from the bank) in the Louisville area?
Scott, check your messages.
David, one of the best areas is below the dam on the Clarksville side. With the water being low it is pretty easy to walk around down there and there is not much of a chance of them releasing water. You can also fish around the Clarksville ramp or along Cox's Park. You can also go to the Charlestown State Park and walk along 14 mile creek.
David,
I'd go to the Falls of The Ohio and fish for the whites and sauger. All you need are a few white rooster tails or white grubs and you'll catch them. The trick is to cast into the white water where the current spills over the rocks. Seems like the fish stack up in that foamy white water...I've foul hooked some big ol' cats doing that. You'll catch whites, drum, sauger, cats, and maybe a hybrid. Take ya a pair of water shoe because you walk through a little water at ankle to shin deep. It's a fun thing to do and the sites you see are hilarious! Last Thursday, I saw a guy pushing his luck, wading into the really high current...he lost his footing and took a little ride before getting back up to his feet! It was hilarious!
