You will be in an excellent part of the lake to maybe catch a smallmouth or two. I would suggest waiting until just before dark. Try fishing a drop shot with a 4" green pumpkin finesse worm. After dark try a 1/4 or 3/8 oz. jig and chunck. You will probably want to fish deep because of the hot water temp so I would opt for the 3/8 oz. You will have a pretty good moon the early part of the night, so I would suggest maybe a pumpkin color or green pumpkin jig with a Alabama Craw trailer. Fish the points that fall off into the river channel. If that doesn't work try the steeper bluff banks. Good luck. Hope you have a safe and enjoyable trip.
