Now that's a serious bag there, that might even make ole Flippindrew jealous. My personal best five to date there was in the slightly over 20lb range and I've had alot of day's with several 4 plus fish involved. There are some pigs in that lake for sure.Plenty of good smallies in Cumberland there Elnut. Not as many as Dale but they are there. It can get difficult down there at times for sure. Been there done that. However, there are times when I would put it up against anything you can catch on Dale. For example, in one trip me and a buddy of mine had 9 keeper smallies with two over 6lbs, several 5+'s and 4's. Very few of them less than 4lbs. I would say the best 6 went close to 30lbs. Not too bad IMO. I wouldn't give up on the Big C yet. Now is a tough time so maybe give her another chance some other time. Is it challenging? Most certainly it is.... that is why we call it fishing. I got a feeling you will be back down there again sometime, just to prove it to yourself you can do it. Who knows maybe this winter! Good luck!
I guess for me it don't really count unless you do it in a tournament though. Just practice! Figures! LOL!![]()
