Bassman ,
If you are in Evansville I would stop by Dicks Sporting Goods and pick up the Sportsman Guide map book - they are in the fishing dept. on the reel case . It has the best lake maps and info for Sullivan Lake and Greene-Sullivan area you can find . Greene Sullivan is loaded with pits and is a great place to fish . The Duggar unit has Bass lake which hosts lots of tournaments and several pits are stocked with Rainbow Trout { you'll need a $11.00 stamp for them } plus there is a lot of camping available . Good luck !
Not sure but I think he means Sullivan lake in the town of Sullivan. Just south of Terre Haute on 41.

That's correct Mr. Hardesty, do you have any tips on that lake?
All I have heard is to go about half way out in the middle of the lake and crank DD22's all day. That is the rumor I have heard.

Nobody here has ever fished Sullivan? All we would like is some general info about the lake. Bottom composition, maybe typical depth, typical structure.

bassman when were planning on going to Sullivan? I live 15 miles east of Sullivan and I fish it sometimes. I just might come over and help you out.

Hey Larry, I was wanting info about the lake, are there weeds, rocks, lily pads, what type of lake is it? Average depth and so on. Is the only boat ramp in the park? ny info would be appreciated... Thanks
It is a typical dammed up valleys lake. Grass in the shallows, dam has some rock as well as some banks have been rocked. Water is very stained. Bass, crappie, saugeye[sp]. Only ramp is in the park, you have to pay gate fee
plus launch fee based on horse power. I think it is $15 to launch mine with a 200 johnny on it. Larry
lot of small crappies last time i was there was about 7 yrs ago at one time the state record for saugeye was caught there.have caught some nice bass there though anymore i just go to shakamak and fish the strip pits around the area . don't have to put up with jet skis and boats running around all over the place . shak and pits are electric motor only.i had ahard time trying to catch any good size saugers but wasn't that experienced on fishing for them on sullivan
