Rough River

Im headed down this weekend for the first time in a couple months, can anyone tell me what the LM are doin? I'll likely stay on the lake side but may run up the river if they're up there and the traffic ain't to bad.

Haven't been in over a month to Rough, but caught fish on jigs out off the main lake points. Catch what you can early cause the boat and wave runner traffic is terrible after about 10:00 am..... And I do mean terrible for fishermen.....Good Luck and let us know how you did....

Fished Rough last weekend up by everleigh. caught lots of short fish early on buzzbait. Wentto main lake deep walls and caught 5 keepers on black jig. Be prepared for boat traffic. The waves never stopped.

This morning we fished between axtel and north fork beach and caught several fish but only 1 keeper off of a dock, on a jig. Came back to the house for lunch, nap, and to get away from the pleasure boaters. Arround 5 lake time I figured i'd run up the river with no spot in mind to fish, just watching the gps and bank for a spot to jump out at me, and it did! It was a short (50ft) bluff wall that the channel ran against. I was flipping a jig against it and wound up catching 8 keepers from 2 to 6 pounds in less than an hour, could've weighed about 18lbs. I'm still not sure where i'm gonna fish in the morning, maybe up north fork or trailer over to peters cave but i dont know that area of the river very well.
