    Re: troubleshooting my trim

No Mechanic here, but my first thought is whether there is hydralic fluid in the system or not. Also, what about the pump that pumps the fluid, and from there I would suggest the interface of the motor to the pump. Then I'm all out of ideas.

check the fluid and the manual release valve. If they are OK it sounds like a bad pump

thanks for the info. if it was low on fluid would i check it and fill it if needed in the cap on the trim pump. the manual release works good that is how i got my motor up.

    Re: troubleshooting my trim

Hey..........Be careful when checking the fluid. I'd DEFINITELY talk to a mechanic first.

I know you're only supposed to add fluid with the motor up? or is it down. I know you can damage it if you're not careful.

    Re: troubleshooting my trim

should be all the way up to check fluid. If it is full and still won't go I would check the drive gear on the trim motor to make sure it is turning the pump. If thats good you probably have a bad pump
