    Lightbulb aqua-Vu camera help

I'll looking to borrow/ rent one of these for a couple of days, near Louisville. Would need one with 100 feet of cord. There is a rumor of a couple of steel drums at the bottom of the lake I live on and if I can get proof of this, I might be able to get them removed. Anyway, steel drums are big fish that don't swim too fast so they shouldn't be too hard to find, if they're even there. I would love to buy the camera set-up but my wife has other ideas for our $$.

If you can assist in any way, please let me know.

Anyone? You are welcome to fish in our pristine rock quarry while I look for the barrels
Or I'll pay you a case of your favorite brew!

I'm a diver, but I do not have access to any lift-bags. How deep is the quarry? The easiest thing would be to have a hoist on shore, so that a diver could just go down and hook a rope onto the barrels.

Freshwater lakes are more difficult to work in than the ocean. First, the visibility is very limited. Being able to see 15 feet is a good day. Secondly, the depth of the thermocline varies tremendously. It might be 85 degrees at 15 feet, and 45 degrees at 80 feet.

    Steve,
If i had one, i'd take you up in a heartbeat! If it is the same quarry i'm thinking of it used to have some hogs in it before they built the neighborhood. I would think a side imaging hummingbird would work better to locate barrels in a quarry?

    Thanks guys.

DavidPT40, I'm a diver too but these barrels are in 80 feet of water and that's a little too deep for me to feel comfortable. the Vis is pretty good, there is a definate thrermocline at about 20 feet down. Water is cooold down there!

Worm1, Sounds like you know the place. I need to get some pictures of these drums to shown the developer of the neighborhood. He said if they are still sealed, he'll pull them up.

    Wizard, sent you an e-mail!

    Steve
