ky river tonight

Gonna be hitting the river this evening. First time in this pool (think we are putting in at camp nelson), a buddy is taking me out. With it being last minute, i only have light tackle with me, but that is no problem at all. any advice for the river this evening?

The river has been slow and I am not talking about the flow. From what I have seen the early mornings are the best.

hit the river last night, whish we'd a been able to get out earlier, cause it seemed the later it go the more the bite died off. it was real nice when we got there right before 7. hit a mouth of a creek first, and saw a few bass, and had a BIG muskie follow a buzzer... no takers. started hitting lay downs and boated a few small but mean Kentuckies. head up the river some more and got a couple more small ones. The whites/ hybrids started jumping for a few minutes and i caught one about 5". My buddy boated about a chunky 13" LM as it got darker of some wood. slow night but real nice down there. Topwater was all we threw.

Thanks for the report. It want be long before the water starts to cool and things should get better.
