November weather can be good or bad here just like it can be anywhere in this part of the country. You can expect the fish to be on pure fall patterns that time of year. I prefer the mid lakes areas of both lakes that time of year.

I'm thinking about trying Barkley or KYL the weekend prior to Thanksgiving this year. I have never fished either lake past mid-October so I don't know what to expect.
If anyone has thoughts on the typical quality of the bite, typical patterns and portions of the lake I should focus on, it would be appreciated. If you think I'm better off continuing to fish C-Land or Dale that time of year, I'd be interested in that perspective as well.
Many thanks!

Dave-
Would you consider Carmack bay to be mid-lake or would you suggest further south like Little River? I"m assuming crankbaits, jerkbaits, 4 inch grubs and maybe topwaters if November has been warm. Sound right or would you make additonal recommendations?
Many thanks,
David
Carmack would be north Barkley. Little River area would be mid Barkley. All the lures you mentioned plus spinnerbaits...it all depends on where the water temps are but mid November is normally pretty good with the shallow bite.
Thanks for the reply Dave, very helpful.
