One thing you have to be aware of is that Canoe Ky is in it for the money. As long as the waters flowing to float the paddlers and thier Kayaks, canoes, and rafts is all they care about. It's about the money for them. And they will probably offer free toilet paper so you can wipe the chit of you "vessel".
There's another one of those that don't really take things like these serious.

Even if the oxygen levels come back up that doesn't mean the waste itself is gone. It's still coming down the creek....

I'm not going to get into a conflict on streamflow. I know what I experince as far as the watershed in my areas. It takes 24-36hours (depnding on the spike in the water level) for the water to shed from Lexington to Gtown. And then it's about 30+miles via water to the streamflow guage at Knights Bridge.
On the South Fork, it's about 25 miles from the guage in Midway to the one at Knights bridge.
I'm supposed to call a buddy of mine back in Frankfort later on today to see if anything has been updated.
