Any Body Get To Make It Down To Cedar Creek Over The Holiday Weekend? Figured Less Boat Traffic Than Other Places, If So How Did You Do? Thanks
Well we went Sunday morning and did fair biggest bass around 1lb but lots of shorties. My first trip there and I thought the boat traffic was horrible.... Might as well been skiers & jet skis with all the boats running up and down the lake. I figured with it being a fishing lake that the fellow fishermen would be more considerate but that was far from the truth with people running wide open 20ft from other boats etc. I do think it's a great lake I just need to go more through the week instead of weekend.
Yes, I will agree some people do get a little reckless there--There is a few places that we could use some stop signsWell we went Sunday morning and did fair biggest bass around 1lb but lots of shorties. All the boats didn't bother me that much. What burnt me up was I was fishing a spot and and a boat pulled up in front of me and started fishing the same spot I was. He was close enough I could have flipped my bait on his front deck.Well we went Sunday morning and did fair biggest bass around 1lb but lots of shorties. I can't imagine the traffic that was there on Sat and Sun, for Monday it was nose to tail at the ramp getting in, nose to tail to fish the old 150 roadbed and if I could charge admission to fish the old RR tracks, I would be able to retire. My first trip to the lake in a few years and funny with all that cover, pretty much all were fishing the same general areas. Chunknwind made a comment that these fish had seen 100's of baits by their noses by 10am on the rr track. He just may be a little low on his estimation if that tells you anything. If they ever start putting any tourneys regularly on this water, Taylorsville and Guist will have nothing on the number of boats per acre fishing ratio.
Everyone must have had the same idea you all did for Monday evening we seen 2 boats all day on laurel lake. I can't remember the last time I seen laurel with low population of people. Nice night with 3 hookups. Trolling for walleyes. One of the most peaceful days I have had in a long time.
we went monday and only had 4...biggest was prolly only a 1lb...caught em deep off humps and trees
