No fish today, went wadding this morning for about three hours; caught one gill, and my partner caught one baby smallie.
The good news is the creek looks great; don't think the spill had such a drastic impact after all.
The reason I say this is that the day before I went, a co-worker hit the same spot and slayed the fish. He showed me some pics to prove it.
I also saw no visual signs of damage, no floaters and the water had a good stain to it. I just couldn't get dialed into what the fish wanted.
The area we fished was down stream from the spill, and I did have a great time.
I'm hitting the ole' stone this evening and in the morning for a wade; I'll post info if I get into anything good.
