got to spend another wonderful day on DH with father in law. targeted bluegill and shellcrackers. wind was a welcome change and made the heat tolerable. the bigger bluegill were in 15-20ft of water and we caught 8 really nice shellcrackers - 5-7ft of water. the shellcrackers have a definite preference for nightcrawlers. biggest shellcracker was over 1.5#! several nice fillets and another great day to be on the water. boat traffic was light today. btw if you have not been, DH is way down and the state dock is down to the one lane only. water temp in the mid 80's.
