What really gets my blood boiling is to see a state vehicle being used on a Sat or Sun to go grocery shopping or to church. Too many people are allowed to take them home when they should drive their own vehicle to work and then sign out a state vehicle if they need to take a trip to some other town.

    Come On election time.
Take home cars started with the Democrats.
Beshear asks in one of his commercials for Fletcher to tell folks why we are near the bottom in education, jobs, and welfare... I know the answer..
30 Years of the Democrats in charge.
You do not change that dramatically in 4 years.
We have more jobs than we did 4 years ago, and LOUISVILLE is FINALLY getting near the amount of taxes spent on it as it puts INTO the state budget. IE The new arena is thanks to Ernie Fletcher....
BUT my biggest point... Democrat Wallace Wilkinson promised us better education with the Lottery.. and we got more money in the STATE general fund instead of money for EDUCATION... do you Casino People REALLY believe that the money from Casino's will go to Medical Care for those without insurance????
IF YOU DO? I have a bridge on the Ohio I want to sell you..
Goes nowhere, and has no current connections to either shore, but its a great bridge.

Accually the Dems had 37 years to get us in the shape we are in. I think ole Ernie has done a Great job in the 3.5 years he has had. More people are working, with more industry on the way. Lots and lots of world renound venues are coming to the state and Education benchmarks have never been higher. On a side note, the only person who is gonna take my guns is my unborn son when I have expired. And the dem donkeys in Congress promised so much change in thier first 100 days and all they can focus on is wanting to alienate Turkey one of our few precious allies in the middle east just to make it harder on our Troops over somthing that happened over 100 years ago. If that is the case we must label Early American Settlers with Geneocide for what we (White Man my self included) for what we did to the Indians. We have to stop setting in front of the Evening News and believing what the Liberal TV is saying. I mean come on people. To me that is treason. I beg you my fellow sportsmen to wake up and see what is going on. We are being slowly over taken by NON Americans and the Left in the country are pushing this to happen. Either you are an American or you are a foreigner. You can't be both. It is not my way of life I am affraid of losing it is our existance. Sorry I got off topic but it all relates back. However with all that said we still live in a Democratic Society where majority rules but we must quit believing those left wing traitors. Our childrens future depends on it. God bless you all and God Bless America.

I could not, in good conscience, vote for either of those 2 bozos.

It's easy to throw out terms like healthcare and education, but you almost never hear anyone throw out a PLAN to improve those things that actually has a chance of working.

As for casinos, I'm fiscally libertarian (not socially) and I think if someone wants to build a casino they should be able to do it. The problem with the way the government is proposing it is that they would regulate it to the point that only their friends, cronies and relatives would be able to open them and get rich. It's kind of like what those folks from KEEP were trying to do.

I am basically a libertarian, but Casino's have several problems, among which are the points you make.. but also:
History shows that they put other businesses OUT of business by draining the available cash from the Econonmy... IE Restaurants, Entertainment, Horse Racing Etc.
History also shows that to make money... someone has to LOSE MONEY.. and in losing money, means taking it out of the economy, and lowering taxes from sales and from jobs.
    YES: Casino's creat jobs.
YES: Casino's have a net NEGATIVE effect on jobs overall.
When you **** from the teet of taxes, you end up dependent on taxes and tax revenue goes down with Casino's. This means dependency on not only Casino's but on DEMOCRATS who pass the taxes and run the liberal welfare system.
So far Fletcher has balanced the budget when we had a Billion Dollar deficit looming and did it without more taxes. (Taxes also **** money from the economy without producing jobs.)
While his pardons in the hiring scandal were not good, he did nothing that the Democrats did NOT do for 30 years prior to his coming to office.
IF we elect a Democratic Governor and a Democratic Attorney General we will see the SAME **** THING AGAIN..
Neither deserves our vote, but the devil you know .. is better than the devil you do not..

I agree with you Jim. On a larger platform if the Heathcare for everyone idea that the Dems are and will continue to stand beside wins then we are all doomed. Free Healthcare? How stupid do they think we are? Nothing is free but the bull from the politicians is free flowing...

    Re: Governor's Race

they know there are those of who have medical coverage that will not agree to the health coverage for all,but look how many votes will be generated by those who do not have coverage.I would say many that do not vote will make sure they register and do,especially those with kids. That being said as bad as i hate to say it i have a few family members who abuse the system,
they are able bodied folks who won't work because the govmt pays them well more than minimum wage to stay home and raise fatherless kid, among other things that pisss me off. Also there are many drawing from the ss fund that are just spongeing, the right dr. has no problem cutting and declaring you disable.I wish they'd just put my ss money into my 401.

This Hillary Healthcare thing scares me.The Dems will play on the fears of the Minorities and any group of have nots around. I don't have anything i didn't work for and it bugs the living shite out of me that someone wants to either take it from me or give it to someone else. Man i pray she fails in her attempt for the nomination.
