Rough River Repoert

Fished Rough today from before sun-up till right at 4:00. After 10:00 what biter there was shut down completely. Water temps averaged right arround 82.5, being stained in the upper North Fork to clear towards the dam. Mannaged to get 6 small bass on a wide variety of plastics, in 6-12 feet of water in large chunk rock. Rough is on of my altime favorite places to fish, but it sems the past month or two the fishing has been pretty tough, atleast for me. There was a prety big tourny going out of the North Fok ramp put on by the Teamsters, if anyone could provide winning weights it would be awesome. Not a terrible ammount of pleasure boat trafic but a ton of fishermen were out...

10.96 won it. 4.43 was the big fish. Second was 4 and change so was 3rd.

Sat. morning slow bite, several small LM (8-12 inch) and one 16 inch. Sun morning no boat traffic, rain, little wind, perfect conditions 15-20 small LM biggest was 14 inches, all were caught in 8-20 feet on soft plastics.
All will change on monday when COE opens the gates dropping a foot per day, next weekend will be interesting!

Same here went Sun and though it was nice, with no boat traffic much, the rain was not a problem, but the big bite was not on for me either, several small 12 to 14 one 14 3/4 and lost one good keeper, even had one good fish follow a buzzbait to the boat, all fish came on plastics. Next week when the current gets going the fish will turn on.
