We mainly target blue cats, but we are catching some flatheads in the river, during the day. I caught 1 flatty today about 6 lb., in 12' of water near the bank of the Ohio. The flatheads seem to be more active at dusk and after night fall. Look for structure or changes in the bottom contour. There is plenty of fresh bait, Skipjack are easy to catch now, at the mouth of creeks and disharges. (Sabiki rig) Current is slow and so are the catfish. River temp averaged 82 deg. We ended up wearing out the small Hybrids and Stripers at a discharge.
