Thanks for the report, D. I like Taylorsville and I'm glad to hear you had a good time.

Just posting if anybody was interested. Fished Saturday night on main lake points and caught bass on 6" plastic salt lizards, no huge sizes but hey 1-2lbs are better than nothing lol. Slower the presentation the better. I hear lots of negatives about this lake including from myself in the past but I have found if you go before the skiers get up or after there gone it's not such a bad lake; just my opinion

I agree, thanks for the report...I too like T-Ville Lake and think it's a nice lake to fish when you just want to get out on the water for awhile..... I've caught some nice fish in that lake.....![]()
Yeah I was one of those guys who didn't give it much of a chance but now living 10 minutes from the dock and being able to fish it more I have to say it's not that bad. Is there still a good population of hybrids in the lake? The reason I ask is that we were fishing the first point to the right if coming from Settlers Trace and the flat that comes off that point going towards the dam had more baitfish on top than I have ever seen before surrounding the boat and fish were coming up occassionally but I could never get anything to bit on my end, just curious because if you were in that situation on Barren you could get your favorite top water plug out and hang on LOL.
I don't know about hybrids but i've been LM fishing and had whites boil behind me a few times. Throw a sammy or lipless into them and its on, my girlfriends dad and i caught 20 or so in 10 minutes last time it happened.
A couple weeks ago was my first time ever on Taylorsville, and it really is a nice lake. And I know the fishing can be real good, but I think I'll try and avoid going there on weekends from now on. I've seen Oxmoor Mall less crowded.
